What is Breathwork, Exactly?

Breathwork is the practice of intentionally changing your breathing to shift how you feel and function. Science continues to show that even a slight shift in breath through intentional breathing exercises can deliver effective, in-the-moment results. Breathwork has roots in both ancient and modern traditions. Yogic pranayama, Qigong breathing, and contemporary methods like performance breathing all show how the breath can be trained to expand awareness and resilience.
